Questions about meeting the Spirit with Esi
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PSYCHIC AND SPIRITUAL MEDIUMSHIP?
Every person is born with psychic faculties which can be used to receive information from the other people energy fields within the physical plane; such as their past experiences, the life they lead, and sometimes even into their future. That is mostly used for ‘readings’ such as psychometry and tarot. Spiritual mediums communicate with those in spirit directly. All the information given is received from the spirit and medium would be doing ‘sitting’ rather than ‘reading’. All spiritual mediums are psychic but not all psychics can communicate with spirit.
HOW MANY KINDS OF MEDIUMSHIP EXIST?
There are two forms of mediumship; mental and physical. Mental mediumship is more common where the spirit works through the mind of the mediums- the medium is able to hear, see or sense the spirit. All mediums would be able to posses one or more of these forms. Physical mediumship requires a higher degree of power and is not widely practised. These include ‘direct voice’ where the spirit person speaks through the medium in his own recognisable voice and ‘materialisation’ when the person in spirit appears solid and visible to all present. In this mediumship, the medium is in trance. Trance is when the medium allows the spirit to take control of his/her body, their own consciousness becoming oblivious to their surrounding, and in some cases retaining only partial consciousness.
WHAT SHOULD I BE AWARE OF AT A SITTING WITH ESI?
The purpose of a sitting with Esi is to provide evidence of survival not to practice fortune telling. Occasionally, there may be a message given by the communicator and it is advised that you use your common sense and act accordingly. You should also consider the help of a professional like a doctor, lawyer etc. in specific matters. Esi aims to give you the information which she believes to be given through her. She can not guarantee the communication with a specific person but will strive to make a true and honest connection to the best of her ability. All the information given will be with discretion and confidentiality. You will take full responsibility for any decisions you may take following the sitting with Esi.
HOW DOES ESI WORK?
Esi, when demonstrating, may be guided to provide sketches of those in spirit. When/ if she is, it is not like as if she sketches someone by looking at them; her hand is guided by spirit. She does not know who she is sketching until the face appears on the paper. It is only after that she will link into their energies; she may see, hear or sense them. She will then pass on this information to you. Drawing may be of the person when they were younger but usually there would be a photograph somewhere showing great resemblance. Usually communication is with the person drawn but not always. There are instances where there may be two persons communicating. So you should not try to match the information given verbally to that of the one sketched. Occasionally, you may also be used as a messenger for someone else. In this case, you may not recognise the person sketched but would accept the information given. When that happens, please take the drawing with you because it will find its owner in time. It appears that several different artists work through Esi as their different styles are illustrated in the gallery. It will be greatly appreciated if you too would forward a copy of both the sketch and the photograph for the Gallery.
IS IT POSSIBLE TO CALL ANYONE IN SPIRIT AND ALSO TO ASK QUESTIONS?
No. You are welcome to think of a person in your mind but mediums will not ask for communication with any specific person. Spirit will establish contact whenever they are able and so wish to do so.
Again, you can think of a question in your mind but they will only tell you what you need to know and not what you want to know. It is your own responsibility to lead your life in the ways you choose, not theirs. It is for that reason that you are on earth.
WHY ESI WANTS TO DEMONSTRATE MEDIUMSHIP?
First of all, it helps people who have lost their loved ones and are in mourning. They realise that their loved ones have not disappeared, just moved on to a different dimension. People may not see or hear them unless they have special gifts, however, they are still are around. They now come with love and the wisdom that life on earth is like a school.
Secondly, people, when given some evidence of life after death, can at least consider it as a possibility that life is eternal, start questioning their own lives and why they are here. This helps them to seek meaning in their lives rather than material gains.
HOW CAN I DEVELOP MY MEDIUMSHIP?
In the United Kingdom, traditionally, you would attend development circles in Spiritual Churches. There are over 600 spiritualist churches in the UK and some of these churches are over 100 years old. The main development takes place in ‘closed circles’ where the members and the teaching medium are always the same. Two things are essential; punctuality and regular attendance.
Alternatively, you can attend classes at other spiritual venues, mostly charitable organisations. Experienced Mediums also hold private closed circles in their homes.
There are also ‘Open Circles’ where the membership is open to anyone at anytime and it is usually mostly to gain personal experience of your gifts.
IT IS MENTIONED THAT ESI WORKS IN SPIRITUALIST CHURCHES. IS ESI WORKING FOR A RELIGION?
No, Spiritualism is not her religion. She sees Spiritualism as a life philosophy. Some people accept it as their religion. Doors of Spiritual Churches are open to anyone regardless of their faiths, race, age, sex.
In Spiritualist Church services an address is given on the philosophy of the movement, followed by a demonstration. The purpose of the demonstration is to provide evidence of survival after death through communication, and that the existence and personal identity of the individual continues after death.
